"Martin Weaver is Director of the Center for Preservation Research and a professor of historic preservation at Columbia University, New York. He also has an international conservation consultant
practice based in Ottawa, Canada. Born in London and trained there as an architect at the Architectural Association, Professor Weaver has worked on the conservation of historic monuments and sites for UNESCO, national and local governments and
other clients in many countries including Algeria, Australia, Bolivia, Canada, Greece, Iran, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Turkey, the U.K. and the U.S.A. He is a prolific writer and a regular lecturer at five universities on both sides of the
Atlantic. He specializes in the science and technology of the deterioration and conservation of heritage building materials and systems." |
